The Best Twin Buggy
Built to grow with your family, this inline double has multiple seating configurations and can be used for twins or children of various ages. The rubber tires are filled with foam and never flatten and its soft suspension makes light work of the kerbs.
It folds super-flat and meets the weight requirements of airlines gate-checks, making it easy to carry around. It also comes with a huge underseat storage basket and four-panel sun canopy.
Leclerc Influencer
With its elegant design, auto-folding feature and cabin approved dimensions the Leclerc Influencer is a great choice for travelers. Its folded (and unfolded) width is 47cm which slightly exceeds the IATA standard of 45cm but it still meets the airline’s hand luggage regulations and can be stored in the overhead lockers on flights (Subject to Airline approval). We found it was easy to clean with a simple wipe down and there were many extras available, including footmuffs, nappy and buggy organiser bags that strap onto the handles and hoods offering UV50+ protection.
We love the fact it’s so small when collapsed, and that it is able to fit easily into tiny spaces like shops narrow alleyways and Jane’s tiny terrace house It’s also more convenient to maneuver up and down the stairs. The bumper bar doubles up as a carry handle and there’s an ample, flip-flop-friendly brake with a color-coded indicator. The basket is a little smaller than others but it’s big enough to hold an adequate-sized changing bag, and there are also additional tray for snacks, drinks and toys.
It’s suitable from the time of birth and can be used with a Leclerc Baby Carrycot or car seat with adaptors (sold separately). The innovative backrest can be folded down to make it ideal for long walks or naps. The magnetic 5-point harness makes it easy to use. It’s also light, weighing just 6.6kg. A travel bag is also included.
Joie Evalite Duo
The British brand Joie has a mission to “share joy with new parents” by designing pushchairs that are “functional fashionable, stylish and ingenuous”. The Evalite Duo, their latest twin buggy, is Joie’s most recent product. It’s designed to accommodate two children at the same time in contrast to the slightly heavier Aire Twin. It also offers stadium seating that allows both children to see the world.
At just over 10kg, the Evalite Duo is one of the tiniest strollers for siblings available. It’s suitable from birth and can be used with Joie car seats or carrycots (with the Instant Sure Lock attachment). It’s simple to drive or ride, lift, and fold and the frame expands in width to accommodate the second seat.
Out ‘n’ about says the Evalite Duo’s one-handed folding feature is an absolute highlight. They were impressed by the speed and ease with which the Evalite Duo comes together. They did note that it was more difficult to navigate rough surfaces and bumps in comparison to other models.
The front seat doesn’t fully recline, and parents had to use their own hands to lower it. This is something they would prefer to avoid when traveling with small children. The Evalite Duo, however, is a great stroller that can be improved upon with a few adjustments. They are impressed by how compact double buggy it is when folded.
iCandy Peach
iCandy Peach, a sophisticated tandem buggy that gives parents the variety they need. It’s compatible with a variety of car seats. It also has a the one-click method to fold it, making it a breeze to take with you on the go. It comes with a range of additional features, such as raincovers and liners. Rival brands charge separately for these.
iCandy’s Peach pushchair is a favored choice for fashion-conscious parents thanks to its fashionable and modern premium jersey fabrics. The new 2022 version of the Peach has been subjected to a variety of minor tweaks that improve the performance and function without sacrificing aesthetics.
One of the biggest changes to this latest Peach is the addition of a ride-on board which makes it a great choice for twins. It is also a little smaller than the previous Peach model, but it still provides all the space your child may require.
It’s a great double stroller for parents who are looking for something that looks good and offers plenty of flexibility. You can use it as a single pram right from birth, and then purchase a double kit to turn it into a twin stroller. It has a large basket as well as five reclining positions that ensure maximum comfort for your child. It also comes with a one-handed fold and an integrated carry strap. The only downside is that it could be quite bulky to store when you aren’t using it, especially as it folds into two parts instead of one.
iCandy Orange
This is one of the best twin buggies available. The seats can be outfitted with liners and footmuffs that keep your children warm during cold winter months. The carrycot is easy to attach with the side flaps that open to allow for gate opening. It is large and comfortable. The seat and carrycot can be placed in a variety of configurations and the Orange chassis has an amazing 30 combinations.
The wheels are built to handle rough roads and terrain. Also, there’s a large shopping basket, which is perfect for large supermarkets. The pushchair is smooth to drive, with a light feel, and the pedal brake that is rounded is easy to use (but not a flip-flop-friendly model). The latch that keeps it folded needs two hands to unlock. Once it’s folded, the front wheels slide under the basket and the chassis will be able to stand up without difficulty.
The Orange is a great choice for parents who are fashion-conscious and have children or toddlers and need a buggy that will be able to grow with their children. It’s also a good option for parents who plan to have another child in the not-too-distant future who require a flexible double buggy for twins pushchair. The iCandy Orange is not cheap, but it’s versatile enough that it should last for a while and have a good resale value as well. It can also be used with a buggy board which should aid in reducing sibling rivalries over seats!
Mountain Buggy Duet
Mountain Buggy, founded by a New Zealander and is part of the Mokopuna Group, which also owns Phil and Teds and Baby Jogger, is the first company in the world of prams to focus on two all-terrain pushchairs. The Duet side-by-side twin stroller is sleek and slim that can fit through doorways and maneuver well in tight aisles. It is among the smallest, fully-featured off road double buggy buggies on the market and has been awarded numerous awards including 2014 Mother & Baby Twin Gold and 2015 Prima Baby Twin Silver.
The seats are wide enough to let children of different ages sit comfortably together. They also have an independent reclined so that children can choose their preferred position. The large canopy is equipped with flip-out sun visors, and the storage basket offers plenty of space. It works with almost all brands and comes with two infant car seat adapters when you purchase car seats.
The only downside is the weight. It is heavy at 32.4 lbs and may be difficult to get into and out of the trunk for Grandma. And, it is more expensive than other side-by-side double umbrella stroller buggies. It is built to last, and has a lot of advantages for the money. It’s a good option for urban parents who wish to avoid carrying a heavy stroller around. And, the straps that are padded and buckles with five points make it safe for babies.
Bugaboo Donkey twin
The Bugaboo Donkey Twin has a fashionable and practical design. It’s a great product, but it’s not without flaws.
It offers very few extra features, both for children and parents. There’s a small bin in the seat, but it’s only accessible when one seat is attached – and that’s the only thing it has. There are no cups, tray for parents or accessory pockets. This could be a problem for long journeys.
The seats don’t recline very even and the gap between the seats is quite large. Our 5-year-old had difficulty sitting back comfortably. That’s a shame considering it’s a top-of-the-line model.
On the positive side, it’s a breeze to maneuver and the swivel wheel is great at getting up the steps and slopes. It’s also small enough to pass through most doors and folds easily for easy storage and transportation. It can also be changed to mono mode in just three clicks, if you require more space or a quick getaway. It can even accommodate a third child with the comfort wheeled board if you’re required to. If you’re looking to save money there are alternatives that are less expensive. If you like the brand and can afford it, it’s worth the price.
